luxury vinyl tile (LVT) moldings

Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) is the fastest growing product in the flooring industry today. Many homeowners, however, have found it difficult to find coordinated moldings with the many colors and patterns that LVT offers.

Also, LVT flooring comes in a variety of thicknesses, making it difficult for moldings and especially stair nosing to fit appropriately and easily. offers a product line designed exclusively for Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) and Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) floors.

Our LVT/LVP Moldings consists of over 68 colors, 8 species (Maple, Pecan/Hickory, Red Oak, White Oak, Rustic Walnut (Acacia), Brazilian Cherry, Cherry, and White Paint) and are also available in unfinished moldings.

Six molding profiles specifically for the LVT market help to perfect the look of LVT/LVP flooring: Large Stair Nose (161), Small Stair Nose (121), Overlap Reducer (329), Overlap Stair Nose (330) and our brand new profiles the Mini Square Nose (243) and Mini T-Mold (702). With the introduction of our newest LVT/LVP profile (058), you may have noticed a requirement to use an adhesive with every installation.  You can install it with nails for most installs,  but MUST always use an adhesive as well.

A good adhesive saves time and frustration on the job site. How many times does an installer return to a site where they have installed freshly laid transitions only to find someone has compromised them by walking or tripping on them prior to the time of full cure or bond to the floor transitions.

That is why MOI has done extensive research into our recommendation for the best adhesive for our profiles installation.  Installers need a water-permeable quick-setting and maximum-bonding adhesive. Our solution to this perplexing concern in the industry is Loba Wokol’s MS 245 Montinator.

Originally discovered at the FCICA’s convention in Tampa last year, this adhesive is used on concrete, wood, ceramic, LVT, water proof laminates, and polystyrene insulation. This Zero VOC content adhesive sets in 10 minutes and cleans up with mineral spirits. With literally NO OPEN time – no waiting is required.  Just apply it through your caulking gun, and be prepared to set the transition in place. Full cure time is 24 to 48 hours.

Available at most flooring distribution businesses, Wokol’s MS 245 Montinator is worth asking for.
